Objective

The Objective Behind the Project

The client reached out to us with the request to develop a platform for Swiss healthcare providers. The need we were to solve with the platform was to provide surgeries (i.e. Swiss private practice doctors) and clinics with a tool that could connect doctors and patients for quick appointment booking. The idea that lies behind the project is to bring to the market a solution for automation and digital transformation of the healthcare sector.

The client came up with the idea to equip medical providers with the instant booking platform where doctors can place the information about free time slots, and clients can book appointments and get automatic confirmation.

The main technical requirement was to automate the booking processes. Our team was also helping the client to figure out the scope of features needed for the private practice doctors and box solutions for clinics.

The CRM of the platform was unique because it had to be able to connect with the CRM of any healthcare service provider to collect data from it and display it for the end user, a patient. The patients should get all the information about their appointments at different clinics and private practices, prescriptions, medical tests, etc., in one application.

Solving the Challenge

Infinity Technologies approached the request as a technical partner to the project. We were to develop a solution allowing clients to search for a healthcare provider in the client’s area, for specific qualifications, for language skills, etc. Having found a suitable one, a client can conveniently book an appointment online.

The solution we came up with includes 2 development areas:

A platform for surgeries

Surgeries are private practices run by various medical specialists, such as therapists, dentists, surgeons, and more. These professionals can independently register on the platform by completing a detailed profile, including their qualifications, specialties, and contact information. After registration, they gain access to a dashboard where they can specify their availability by setting free time slots for appointments. These slots are then visible to clients for instant booking. Each booking costs the doctor 2 CHF per click, which is automatically charged to their account. The platform also offers tools to manage schedules and communicate with clients securely.

A box solution for clinics

Swiss healthcare providers often rely on 8 major CRM systems. Infinity Technologies developed plugins that integrate with these CRM APIs, enabling the transfer of patient data — such as names, diagnoses, test results, prescriptions, and medical history — to our instant booking Platform. The data is processed on the backend to fit the Platform’s CRM and presented to end clients (patients) in a secure personal cabinet for easy access. Clinics pay a fee for the implementation of this ready-to-use solution, streamlining their booking and patient management processes.

The Platform assists patients in finding the appropriate healthcare provider and booking an appointment. After the registration, clients can search for the right doctor and book an appointment online.

We have developed an algorithm that calculates free appointments in real time. Using a query on the Platform, patients can always see when a healthcare provider has a free time slot available for booking directly on the website or via iOS or Android application.

The booking is sent encrypted to the clinic or surgery, and the client will receive a confirmation email with further information. After the treatment, it is possible to make a review of the healthcare provider.

The Healthcare booking platform (NDA) has become Switzerland’s leading and largest booking platform in the medical sector. The intelligent online appointment system brings together patients and healthcare providers, making the cooperation process simpler and faster.

Thanks to the Platform, patients easily find the needed doctor on the Internet and book an appointment directly online. This increases the satisfaction of the patients, decreases the doctors’ administrative work, reduces no-shows, and prevents human errors and misunderstandings.

In addition to providing online appointment services for patients, the Platform also works for telemedical consultations, online medication orders creation, and referral bookings.

All functions can be customised so that they are perfectly tailored to the needs of every doctor and clinic. The Platform is thus taking a further step on the way to digitalising the healthcare system.
